Los Angeles, CA – Today the Los Angeles Business Federation (BizFed) and the Central City Association (CCA) Political Action Committees announced their endorsement of Kevin de León's candidacy for the Los Angeles City Council's 14th District.

“The CCA PAC believes Kevin de León is the best candidate to represent the civic, cultural and economic heart of Los Angeles.” said Edgar Khalatian, Partner at Mayer Brown LLP and Co-Chair of CCA PAC. “CCA commissioned a poll with Loyola Marymount University, hosted a candidate forum and held multiple interviews to understand the strength and positions of the candidates. It is clear that de León will be a strong voice on the City Council to represent the growing residential population and businesses in Downtown Los Angeles and will fight for a united Downtown.

“Kevin de León is a leader and the candidate BizFed PAC believes can best address the significant economic development needs of the 14th District. He has experience in dealing with the most critical issues facing business in Los Angeles, and our business leaders look forward to partnering with Kevin de León to bring opportunities and tackle the big issues facing our community,” said Tracy Hernandez, President & CEO of the Los Angeles County Business Federation (BizFed) and Principal Officer of the BizFed PAC.

The Central City Association (CCA) PAC represents the interests of 400 businesses, trade associations and nonprofit organizations in Los Angeles County. CCA PAC supports candidates and ballot initiatives that align with its mission of enhancing Downtown LA’s vibrancy and investment in the region through advocacy, influence and engagement. BizFedPAC is a nonpartisan, jobs-driven political action committee comprised of many LA BizFed member business PACs and local companies, dedicated to strengthening and unifying the voice and influence of the broad business community within Los Angeles County.
