Office Manager

Office Manager is responsible for managing all operations within the office including procurement and supply management, regular office correspondence, staff on-boarding, and office organization. Qualified applicants should be creative problem solvers who are able to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

The 14th District consists of over 250,000 residents and stretches from Eagle Rock in the north to Downtown Los Angeles in the south. It covers the neighborhoods of Eagle Rock, Highland Park, Glassell Park, Hermon, Monterey Hills, El Sereno, Boyle Heights, and Downtown Los Angeles.

Duties

  • Manage the ordering of supplies needed for all CD14 offices and special events
  • Oversee the on-boarding of new staff including badging, email accounts, business cards, phones, and other requirements as needed
  • Oversee office organization
  • Manage funding requests and CD14 accounts
  • Answer phones and welcome visitors

Qualifications

  • Experience managing a fast-paced office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of City of Los Angeles administrative and contracting policies and procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledge of the communities of CD14
